This makes someone like me – who just wants gayness to be normalized to the point of blending in with everyone else – feel pretty unrepresented by a lot of the other LGBT community. Yeah, I’ve noticed this. It’s basically become Nice Halloween Dog Heckin Spoopy Shirt normalized to hate on white, cis gay, or bi males. If being gay is your only minority trait, then you’re too privileged to speak. You have to be part of another marginalized group too, e.g., female, racial minority, trans, etc. I sorta get it. I mean, people see me and they see a masculine-presenting white guy. I’ve never dealt with a family giving me flak and I live with my partner in a progressive city.
