Serious question … why? I spent years as a network engineer and then a DevOps engineer and I have never once wished my laptop had a built-in Ethernet port. If I’m at my desk I have a dock- I plug in a single cable and Vintage Software Engineering It’s Not A Job Title Its A 2020 Survival Skill Shirt, USB, SD card, and power. If I am moving around- I don’t want to be plugged in. On the rare occasion when I need a physical Ethernet port I have a $20 dongle but I honestly cannot remember the last time I used it.
