Was there anything stopping somebody in Australia from buying and watching the American version of, say, the DVD? Given how controlling media companies tend to be, I’m very surprised they dropped region coding from 4K blu-rays. If I’m right, only Sony has the right to Blu-ray (at least the player’s technology) so maybes whatever they say goes?
