It’s because they are shot on film. Official Order Of The Dragon 1408 XII Shirt. Natural film grain, blurring of the image with depth of field, tonal shifts across the processing, etc. Filters can achieve similar results but you have to do the work. This image is slightly out of focus overall. Add a slight gaussian blur to your photos and you will see a similar effect. Digital photography is infinitely better IMHO (no processing, in some cases better and higher resolution) but out of the box it’s a way to “clean”. I love it when people drop unnecessary amounts of info in a comment thread. (That sounded passive-aggressive but I’m serious, I eat that shit up).
