While looking him up, I learned that one of the new buildings at Glasgow University is named after him. Good stuff. Yeah, and it’s not a maintenance annex or something. It’s the biggest of the new buildings, right on University Avenue next to the Official Nah Rosa Parks 1995 Shirt. Mary Seacole would be a famous woman we could think about. She’s a part Caribbean/part Scottish nurse that saved a lot of lives during the Crimean War. Not necessarily big impact on Glasgow though as you asked but certainly a famous person of color in Scottish history. Seacole Street has a decent ring to it too.
