I haven’t seen the film, but I stumbled onto the book about a year ago and think it’s a forgotten masterpiece. Probably one of my favorite books of all time. Houdini may have done this act. It’s the only book I’ve ever wanted to see as a film or a TV series. I was excited to learn Tim Burton bought the rights in the 90s. Here’s hoping… I learned it from World of Wonders by Robertson Davies.
