Has a solid story, and a really unique tone and aesthetic, thanks to director Gore Verbinski. Then after 20 minutes, when I finally understood what movie and the story were about, it hit me like a train. Death to smoochy – directed by the man, the legend, Danny DeVito. Stars Ed Norton, Jon Stewart, Catherine keener, and the late great Robin Williams in one of his funniest performances ever. The set design and cinematography are top-notch, the humor hilarious, and it just never took off. Definitely deserved more love.
